COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear parents and carers,

We will be providing online learning for all pupils until TDA reopens. All pupils will start their learning remotely on their individual Teams class sites from Wednesday 6th January.

TDA will remain open for vulnerable children and the children of key workers.

Key Worker Provision:

If you are a Key Worker and require a place in in school for your child/ren, please click on the link below for each child by Thursday 4th March.  If the form is not completed before this time a place will not be available as we need to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate in order to remain COVID safe.   You will be contacted to confirm the place in due course.

Please do remember that all students should be in full school uniform and should bring their own headphones wherever possible.

Please also ensure that you read through our behaviour expectations with your child/ren and also arrange testing via the link on the attached letter from the Local Authority.

If you have any queries regarding this provision, please contact Gail Kenlin (Assistant Principal) on gpk@tda.education

For those students scheduled to sit BTEC exams over the next few weeks more detail will follow once we have received confirmation from the exam boards. There is a great deal of speculation about the summer examinations. As it stands the Government has stated that they will not proceed as planned. This is NOT stating they are cancelled. The Government will work with exam boards to confirm alternative arrangements for the summer examinations. I know this will cause uncertainty and anxiety for students but they must continue to engage with all work set via TEAMS to ensure they are in the best possible position to deal with more updates from the Government about how GCSE and A Levels will be awarded in the summer.

While the school is closed, we encourage you to keep monitoring the Government’s advice – the information can be found on the Government website: https://www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.

We will continue to keep you updated and if you have any immediate questions please contact the school.

Yours faithfully

Mr R Carroll

Principal
